Rolling Sun…

Phoenix has now been on Mars for 90 sols… that’s 90 martian days… that’s a month and a half since she landed, and we all stayed up late into the night to make sure she was safe and sending back pictures… unbelievable!

The most recent bactch of images sent back to Earth from Phoenix included a sequence of three shots showing the “midnight Sun” very low on the horizon (in fact I’m not sure it isn’t slightly beneath the horizon, to be honest…), so it wasn’t too much of a hardship to put them into a quick animation to show the Sun rolling along the distant horizon… just click the pic above to see the Sun moving… šŸ™‚

Oh, and by the way, I’ve written a new poem about Phoenix -or rather about the frost seen by Phoenix- and if you want to read it you can find it here… “First Frost”
